Thank You for the Feedback: Custom Characters Are Coming
Dear StoryNight fans, thank you for writing in. The feedback made one thing clear: if StoryNight keeps going, it needs to give readers more control over the people, scenes, and relationships they want to create. So the next direction is custom characters.
What we heard
The most useful feedback was not just about price. Readers asked for more control: multiple characters, the ability to choose how characters look, stronger personality and backstory controls, and better ways to shape the world around a scene.
That matters because StoryNight is not strongest as a generic story generator. It is strongest when it gives you a character, a mood, a visual scene, and enough freedom to steer what happens next.
What we are adding next
The next focus is custom characters. That means moving toward a version where you can build or choose a cast, define personality and backstory, and make the story feel more like it belongs to your private world.
We are also looking at adjacent controls readers asked for: multiple characters in the same experience, appearance preferences, scene settings, saved private casts, and clearer pricing if the product becomes paid.
Why this changes the plan
A sustainable StoryNight cannot be only about generating more text. The value has to be obvious before the cost is obvious. Custom characters are a clearer path because they make the story more personal, more replayable, and easier to return to.
This does not mean every feature will ship at once. It means the next version should be shaped around character ownership and creative control instead of a generic unlimited generation promise.
Tell us what you want
The form below is for the next round of feedback. Tell us what custom characters should let you control, what you wish StoryNight had, what other products you use, and what would make this worth coming back to.
Responses from this page go directly to the StoryNight owner. The more specific you are, the easier it is to build the right thing instead of guessing.
